Privacy Policy

Sportly, LLC ("Sportly," "we," or "us") provides the Sportly app and this support website. This policy explains how we handle information when you discover leagues, create an account, register to play, or contact us.
Information we collect
- Account and profile: Apple or Google account identifiers and the name, email address (including an Apple private relay address), and profile image made available through sign-in; information you provide such as city, sports interests, gender or division preference, birth date, and skill level.
- League activity: registrations, membership status, team placement, payment amounts and transaction references, and cancellation or refund requests. The app may also store preferences and saved leagues on your device.
- Location: when you grant device permission, the app uses your location to find your city, show nearby venues, and calculate distances. You can decline permission, select a city manually, or change permission in your device settings. Map and place services may process location or search information needed to return results.
- Payments: Stripe processes payment details through its checkout services. Sportly stores payment and refund references and related registration information; we do not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes in our application database.
- Technical and support information: IP address, client or user-agent information, session identifiers, request and error logs, and information you send in support emails, including attachments.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users and secure accounts; personalize league discovery; evaluate age, division, and skill preferences; process registrations, payments, cancellations, and refunds; coordinate participation with organizers; respond to requests; troubleshoot and improve the service; prevent abuse; and meet legal obligations.
When information is shared
We share information needed to operate the service with authentication providers (Apple and Google), payment providers (Stripe), hosting and infrastructure providers, map and place services, and email or support providers. These services process information according to their role and applicable privacy terms.
League organizers may receive the participant and registration details necessary to administer a league, arrange teams, and resolve registration issues. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards. We may also share information when you direct us to do so.
The current Sportly app does not include third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app advertising tracking. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Storage, retention, and security
We retain account information while needed to provide your account and services. Registration, transaction, and support records may be kept longer where needed for accounting, refunds, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Session records expire or are revoked; technical logs and backups may remain for their operational retention periods.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to applicable retention requirements. We use safeguards such as encrypted network connections and access controls. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. Privacy protections may differ from those in your location.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can manage location permission in your device settings and revoke Apple or Google sign-in access through that provider. Revoking access does not by itself delete your Sportly account.
To request access, correction, a copy of your information, or deletion of your account and associated personal information, email kobe@joinsportly.com and yooniverse88@gmail.com. Use the email associated with your Sportly account where possible. If you use Apple Hide My Email, include your Sportly relay address. We may verify ownership before fulfilling a request. Please do not send passwords, verification codes, or full card details.
We handle requests in accordance with applicable law. Certain records may be retained for legal, security, or transaction-related reasons described above. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, appeal a decision, or complain to your local privacy authority. Contact us to exercise applicable rights.
Children’s privacy
Sportly is intended for adult recreational sports participation and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
This website and external services
This support website does not include advertising or analytics scripts added by Sportly. Hosting providers may process network and security information to serve and protect the website. Email links open your email application. Links to other websites or third-party services are governed by those providers’ policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
